The drug is given through an infusion into a vein. The time gap between each dose is almost one week. The treatment mostly goes on for around 3 weeks. To cope up with the treatment process of daxotel medicine, the doctor would prescribe you steroid pills like dexamathasone which would lessen the chances of any allergic reaction happening to you during daxotel infusion. These steroid pills would be given to you 2 to 3 days before the treatment.
