What is Tenvir EM?
This is a fixed dose medication for HIV treatment in people over the age of 18 years. The medication is indicated along with other HIV medications that have a different treatment mechanism. The drug contains two antiretroviral medicines – emtricitabine and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. Both these drugs inhibit the action of the viral specific enzyme known as reverse transcriptase. This stops the HIV virus from infusing with the DNA.
What is the appropriate dosage of Tenvir EM?
The medicine should be taken once a day with a glass of water and with or without food.

Gastrointestinal upset, fatigue, insomnia, abnormal dreams, depression, dizziness and headache.
